On my recent travels to Scandinavia, I took the train from Stockholm to Copenhagen in first class (5 hours on a train is too long without Wifi and Breakfast). I always wanted to cross the Øresund since I first heard about it (never actually watched the bridge TV series). Originally I was thinking about roping some friends into driving across but it didn’t happen, so the next best thing was a train ride.
During the later part of the journey, I opened my Pacemaker and looked did a mix while speeding through the Swedish country side, Malmo and across the Øresund. Originally the mix was much longer but decided the start wasn’t great and so cut off the first 30mins and started at Lost Tribe.
New mix recorded on the pacemaker device while on the plane back from Madeira. Big fan of the labyrinth (part one), even if I got a take down for it when uploading a mix to Soundcloud. I found the other mixes good too, especially the new paul keyen remix. Likewise I love jerome isma-ae’s remix of Placebo’s Running up the hill. Hence running the labyrinth mix.

Of course, any reason to do a good mix while taking planes and trains over the last month. I did this one while sat in Helsinki Airport but made a bit of a mistake with the crossfader which meant doing it again.
@coldclimate expect one hell of a mix from all this time I'm hanging around Helisinki and Munich airports
The mix is a weird of mix trance and dub steppy type tunes. I kind thought of Oli tearing up the road on a summers day. So theres moments of uplifting trance alongside some of dirty dub step. I’ve been playing it while riding around on the scooter and it great.
While on the Golden circle tour, I spent a bit of time redoing the mix on the coach back from the Haukadalur valley, the home of the geyser (also known as hawkdale). Everything worked and although this mix is far shorter than my usual mix lengths, its a good energtic mix with a combination of Trance, Tech-Trance and Dubstep. I especially love the mix of DJ Culture into Amino Acids (they worked just too well)
Another mix for those keeping up… This one is a more chilled mix, which I’ve been playing with on my recent travels. Theres some new tunes and some very old ones for your listening pleasure. Love those times with the pacemaker device
Its a nice mix ramping up and down in places, but I especially love the last 2 tracks Mass Noise and Generate, which don’t mix well but work so well. Talking of tunes which don’t mix… Anomaly is a great tune but a bloody nightmare to mix, seems the bpm shifts quite a bit. Anyhow, what a tune! Enjoy!
Fractal – Bednar
Troy (Push remix) – Sinead O’Connor
Arisen – Arksun
Prosac – DJ Tomcraft
Mirrors – Trilucid
Body Of Conflict (Cosmic Gate Club Mix) – Cosmic Gate
Call the Galaxy Taxi (Martin Roth Nu Style remix) – Plastic Angel
A Thousand Beautiful Things (Gabriel And Dresden Tec – Annie Lennox
Different kind of mix this time… I decided seeing how I enjoy Simon Patterson’s tunes quite a bit, especially Brush Strokes and White of her eyes. Its time for a bit of mega-mix using his tunes. Someone said to me listening to his tunes is like the perfect driving or running music, as it feels very pacey.
I imagined running like zombies run, then stopping to catching my breath with some chilled tunes.
I did a few mixes while in Berlin recently. One while taking the ring anti-clockwise around Berlin (think circle line). The other while out one night walking back from around Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz to U Möckernbrücke and other places. I’ll upload the Berlin Ring one in the near future but this one is dark and certainly disturbing with lots of horrible tunes to bring down your joyful day.
Been a while since I have uploaded a decent mix, but don’t worry I have been messing with the pacemaker quite a bit on long journeys. I felt this one was good enough for public consumption, hence the upload to mixcloud. Most of the tunes are brand new and theres a slightly feel of break dance to this with the addition of Knife Party which I can’t get enough of. Also absolutely love Mogusa’s Laserbeams! Of course, Max Graham’s Evil ID and the excellent remix of Southern Sun are great stuff. Its a long one but well worth playing loud, where ever your listening.
Tokyo (beatman and ludmilla remix) – Paul Oakenfold

Halo (Jorn Van Deynhoven mix) – Jorn Van Deynhoven & Temple One
Concept is simple, take a selection of tunes which are something to do with geometry in some way, then bust out a mix. If you think you can work out the link with geometry for each tune, feel free to comment below. Oh and part 1 is here.
A few mixes I’ve recently posted to MixCloud recorded from my Pacemaker… Both mixes are on the darker tip hence the late night titles… Looks like I’m going to have to consider switching back to laptop djing in the near future, as the pacemaker gets older and older. In the meanwhile I have 2 mixes for your listening pleasure…
This mix is pretty dark and moody, its full of crumbling tech beats and progressive cycles. You certainly want to take it easy with the volume control on this one. Recorded on a late night like the late night intruder mix.
Body of Contact (Cosmic Gate club mix) – Cosmic Gate
Kalopsia (Monogato’s Filth remix)- The Blizzard
Strike – Signum
Intruder – Armin van Buuren vs MIKE
Rheinkraft (extended mix) – Oliver Klein

One for you (Oliver Klein remix) – Oliver Klein

Strange Bends (Kyau vs Albert mix) – Sebastian Sand
This is the mix I used for the Next Generation DJ contest. I lot of people asked if they could listen to it without Flash, and I had to said no simply because I had to get as many listeners and votes on the contest site as possible. Now Stage one is all but over, its very unlikely that my mix will make it to the second stage due to lack of votes (needed at least 200) I can open the mix up on Soundcloud for people to download and listen to away from the site.
Anyhow, I’ve already had my say on the contest rules and cheating which was going on. There’s also suggestions that music genres outside of House and Techno were/would have been voted down in the end because the contest involves djing live at a famous house arena….
