The Skopje Jetstream mix

Another strange mix of trance from across the spectrum of trance. Recorded from Skopje (SKP) to Berlin (SXF) recently, I tried to pick a few different tunes but also double down on the obvious as I do currently love that tune. Sound levels are not idea along with some of the mixes but a good mix generally.

The Skopje sunset mix

Another series of trips means another series of new mixes on my pacemaker device. This one was done one evening in Skopje, Macedonia. Slightly cut short by having to get somewhere for dinner but its a different kind of mix with a number of ones I’ve played over the years.

Its rare when I get the opportunity to Dj on a big stage in front of a crowd live but I certainly do enjoy it. This time it was live from British Council’s PlayUK 2018 in Skopje Macedonia. Someone couldn’t make it and I said well if you need a DJ I’m totally up for it.

Very enjoyable, shame I didn’t have longer and I started mixing during the sound test meaning I didn’t hit record. I did consider hitting stop and then hitting record but people were dancing and well the mix was pretty simple.

A thunderstorm in Barcelona mix

On the first night of the holiday in Barcelona, we were hit by something of a biblical thunderstorm. It was super humid, so its hardly surprising.

There is a video but it was so rainy you can’t really see much, so got the Pacemaker out and started mixing late at night. The mix was much longer but I had to cut it back due to some very dodgy mixing as I likely started to fall a sleep.

The way of the finnish mix

Another Pacemaker device mix from Finland, this time a lot longer and a lot less polished but its got a certain charm which I quite enjoy. Note the Helsinki scorching remixes, as it would be rude not to play it in Helsinki. Theres quite a few classics in this mix and they still sound good.

The intruders in Helsinki mix

Can’t even tell you how many mixes I have done over the last few trips but I’m slowly picking out the good ones and uploading them to my Mixcloud account.

I really enjoyed doing this mix on my pacemaker while enjoying a coffee near the Amos Rex, and happened to capture the scene of space intruders (really models dressed up in space clothes) climbing over the outside. Its a short one and you will see intruder by Armin vs MIKE is in there twice, as it was fitting with the stampede of space intruders.

This pacemaker device mix is done during a very busy train ride to the Edinburgh fridge festival. Its a long one at 1 hour 52 minutes, certainly not the longest I have mixed but its a good one. The mix is full of tunes, which I don’t normally play or if they are the alternative mix (b-side)

The Øresund bridge/tunnel mix

On my recent travels to Scandinavia, I took the train from Stockholm to Copenhagen in first class (5 hours on a train is too long without Wifi and Breakfast). I always wanted to cross the Øresund since I first heard about it (never actually watched the bridge TV series). Originally I was thinking about roping some friends into driving across but it didn’t happen, so the next best thing was a train ride.

During the later part of the journey, I opened my Pacemaker and looked did a mix while speeding through the Swedish country side, Malmo and across the Øresund. Originally the mix was much longer but decided the start wasn’t great and so cut off the first 30mins and started at Lost Tribe.

It was quite a journey and here’s the mix to go with it…

Fuel on the burning fire mix

I recorded fuel on the burning fire, while on the plane back from FUEL 2018 in Brussels. Such a good time and lots of amazing people and upgraded to business class, giving me lots of room to stretch out and throw down another pacemaker device mix.

I’ve recently been including more and more rave/90’s dance music in my mix and this is no different. Enjoy from the sunny cabin of my flight back to Manchester.
